The area winners were:

  • North - Lancaster & Morecambe
  • Midlands - Birmingham
  • South West - Exeter
  • South East - Randall's Park

Highly commended were: Dundee, Grantham, Surrey & Sussex and Oxford.

The overall winner for the second year in a row was Lancaster & Morecambe Crematorium, once again leading the way with exceptional grounds and presentation.

“This year's competition was much closer than last year as everyone upped their game to compete with Lancaster,” said regional manager, David Baxter.

This year also saw the first Cemetery of the Year award going to Randall's Park, with its beautiful parkland cemetery layout. Beckenham was highly commended in this category.

Dignity chief executive, Mike McCollum, presented the Crematorium Garden of the Year Award to the winning crematorium. In his speech praised the teamwork of all the staff at Lancaster & Morecambe Crematorium as well as all the staff throughout the company.
