W S Bond Funeral Directors’ promise to you

At W S Bond, we will always put your needs first. Here’s why so many families choose us to arrange funeral services in Chiswick.
Emotional support, practical advice
When William Bond first founded W S Bond Funeral Directors back in 1869, he did so with the primary aim of helping local families through their most difficult of times. This remains our vocation to this day, and we feel honoured to be here for families in their time of need.

When that time arises, we will be here for you. Whether it is the middle of the afternoon or early hours of the morning, we will be on hand to offer emotional support and practical advice on what to do now that a loved one has sadly passed away. You will be assigned a dedicated funeral arranger who will then arrange the collection of your loved one and help you take the next necessary steps to register the death. From there, at your own pace, they will assist you in making informed decisions alongside family so that they can arrange the funeral as you want it. We’ll be there for you up to the funeral date and beyond.
Supporting family members at a funeral service
Your loved one will be collected in purpose-built, specialist vehicles and will rest peacefully in one of our state-of-the-art chapels of rest, where you are welcome to visit them ahead of the funeral if an Attended Funeral is chosen.

From the moment we bring your loved one into our care, we will treat them with the same kindness and respect as though they were a member of our own family. We love our Chiswick community and people of all faiths, cultures and beliefs will be looked after in line with their specific religious protocol by every member of our highly experienced team, including the arrangers, embalmers and operatives.

Your funeral director will always endeavour to be available to talk by phone, online or in person - whichever is most convenient for you. They will not only build a relationship with you and your family, they will also take the time to get to know your loved one. Knowing who they were and the role they played in the family helps us better support you in making informed decisions about their commemoration.

As well as liaising with all third parties and making the necessary arrangements on your behalf, your funeral director will also help you pass on the details of the funeral via an online Funeral Notice at no extra cost.
Funeral flowers placed on coffin lid
We feel honoured to have been a pillar of the community and to have arranged so many funerals in Chiswick and wider London over the past 150 years. We realise what a great responsibility we have and take every opportunity we can to give something back.

We have an excellent relationship with our local care homes. We support local events where possible, train the clergy in funeral procedure and we are always on hand to advise other public bodies on care for the deceased and bereaved.
