As soon as that time comes, we will be here for you, whether that’s at 2pm or 2am, we will be on hand to offer emotional support and practical advice on what to do when a loved one has sadly passed away. You will be assigned a dedicated funeral arranger who will guide you through each step, from the collection of your loved one and how you register the death, to the choices available for the funeral itself and if needed, help you make those decisions. This support continues up to the funeral date and beyond.
We have a duty of care, not just to your loved one, but for those they leave behind. We will take care of the administrative side so that you can concentrate on the needs of yourself and your family.
Your loved one will be collected in purpose-built, specialist vehicles and will rest in peace in one of our state-of-the-art chapels of rest, which you are welcome to visit ahead of the funeral if an Attended Funeral is chosen.
Your funeral director will be available to talk by phone, online or in person - whichever is most convenient for you. They will not only build a relationship with you and your family, they will also take the time to get to know your loved one. Knowing who they were and the role they played in the family helps us better support you in making informed decisions about their commemoration.
We have an excellent relationship with our local care home, Appletree Court, who are just across the road from us. We support local events where possible and we’re always on hand to advise other public bodies on care for the deceased and bereaved.
