Marie Barker (née Walker) was born and raised in Yeadon, to John and Martha Ellen Walker, and was the youngest of 11. Wife to the late Walter Michael Barker (20/12/42 - 07/09/2012), a mother of 5 children, with 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She led a quiet life, dedicating her time to raising her family and taking pride in her home. She enjoyed going out walking, shopping and spent her free time watching TV and was an avid fan of jigsaws.
After a short illness, she peacefully passed away in St James's University Hospital at the age of 88, surrounded by her loved ones.
Chapel service to be held at Lawnswood on 24th September at 2pm.
Dress code is smart/casual or anything you feel comfortable in.
No flowers please. Kind donations to the NSPCC can be made at the service, or via the button on this page.
