It is with much sadness that the family announce the passing of John, who died suddenly but peacefully at home on Fri 1st December in the presence of loved ones. John was a committed family man, who following his National Service in the RAF, enjoyed a long career as an air traffic controller. He was intelligent, kind and caring and supported a number of charities, as well as providing years of voluntary service to the Ayr Hospice. He was a loyal, long-suffering fan of Ayr United Football club and also enjoyed a fruitful association with Alloway Bowling club, where he made many good friends. He will be greatly missed.
