Lesley was born in Rough Lee Nursing Home, Accrington, Lancashire on 29th March 1954, the second daughter of James and Evelyn Bolton and younger sister to Jacqueline.
Lesley lived in Milton Street, Oswaldtwistle throughout her childhood and attended Mount Pleasant Primary School Oswaldtwistle and Accrington High School for Girls before studying teaching at Crewe and Alsager College.
Lesley married Edward Graham on the 21st August 1976 at St Paul’s Church Oswaldtwistle and they lived on Park Lane, Great Harwood. Daughter Laura was born in September 1978. Shortly afterwards they moved to Cottingley, Bingley and resided in the West Yorkshire area until 2011 living in Nab Wood, Shipley and later Eldwick, Bingley.
Lesley had various teaching jobs but ended her career working at the Inland Revenue from 1999- 2008. She was a proficient piano player and enjoyed holidays, particularly to Austria.
Family and friends were important to Lesley and she was a much loved wife to Graham, mum to Laura and grandma to Dan.
After retirement, Lesley lived in Bare, Morecambe until 2017 when her health began to deteriorate, and she moved to Stocks Hall Care Home Mawdesley where she remained for 6 years.
Lesley’s health deteriorated further over the last few months, and she was admitted to Royal Preston Hospital on 15th December 2023 where she passed away peacefully on 6th January 2024.
