Simon specifically said: “Please don’t wear black unless you’ve got nothing else!”
We would like to suggest you embrace Colour and if you have a fun or snazzy waistcoat, please wear it!
The Celebration at Bramley Villagers Community Club
Si asked us to arrange a ‘Fuddle’. He loved the idea that people would come along to a celebration with a contribution of some home-made food to share.
However, we appreciate that it may not be practical for friends and family travelling some distance to bring food. Don’t worry, we think there will be plenty.
Any leftover food will be taken to Homeless shelters.
So please can we suggest a contribution to a cold finger/fork buffet such as:
Savoury: e.g. Sandwiches, sausage rolls, pizza slices, samosas, potato salad, coleslaw, Olives, Hummus and vegetables sticks, Quiche slices. Feel free to add to this list.
Desserts (suitable for paper plates): e.g. Traybake cakes, Brownies, Individual fruit tarts, Scones, Ginger bread or Parkin.
*Please bring food already cut into portions or slices.
*Please bring food on a disposable plate or platter
*No peanuts, mushrooms or Blue Cheese please.
Sharing Memories
You all have amazing memories of Si’s antics! There will be an opportunity to stand up and share or to write them down for a book of memories. Please bring those memories with you.
Flowers & Donations
Family flowers only please.
If you would like to make a donation to a charity that meant something to Simon, you might like to consider one of the following:
Waterloo Uncovered: An international charity supporting veterans and serving soldiers, many of whom are suffering from the physical and mental impact of their service. They undertake archaeology projects on the battlefield of Waterloo; the aim is to support the veterans, understand war and its impact on people, and to educate the public about it.

Hug on a tray: When Simon was first diagnosed with Cancer, he was transferred to the Bexley Wing of St James Hospital. There, he was given his own room with a little fridge, kettle, free TV, and a bag of snacks goodies for Si and his visitors. We found out that all this was donated by a local charity.
