Always known as Gordon, deeply loved husband of Marjorie for 54 years until Marjorie’s passing in 2013, Dad to David, Malcolm, Stephen, Catherine and Linda and Grandad to Peter, Holly, Laura, Sarah, Hannah, Sophie and Tom, he will be sadly missed.
Gordon was a family man, supporting his children in church, Scouting and Guiding activities, then later supporting Marjorie in entertaining grandchildren.
He was an active part of Cookridge Methodist Church for over 40 years, leading the Juniors in Sunday School and serving as a steward responsible for Sunday morning services and building maintenance.
In retirement Marjorie and Gordon spent many hours researching their family trees, leaving a legacy of family history going back several centuries.
As Gordon’s health declined, Linda, his younger daughter cared for him, for which the family are grateful and to all who helped with Gordon’s care.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
