It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Rose Nichols. Joyce died on Saturday 20th January 2024 in Whipps Cross Hospital, London, aged 102 and 1 month.
However, the funeral will be a celebration of her long life, so colourful clothes are welcome.
Free parking near St Mary's church will be allowed in Goldsmith Road, E10 5HA, and Crescent Road, E10 5JJ, in permit bays between 10am and 1pm. Please put a notice on your dashboard saying 'FUNERAL'.
She loved flowers, so flowers will be welcome (see link above or send them to C Selby & Sons (address below) to arrive before 5pm on 5th March). Or if you prefer, you may donate to her favourite charity, the British Red Cross (see link above).
The reception will take place between 2 and 5pm at the Sir Alfred Hitchcock Hotel (see below for details). Please let us know if you are coming, for catering purposes (gill.star@btopenworld.com or 07793 558452). I hope you will all join us there.
