Roy was a loving husband to Helen; a devoted father to Clare and Paul and their wives Holly and Alison; a very proud grandpa to Lucy and Emily, brother to Bruce, uncle to David and Peter, and friend to many - a perfect gentleman with a kind smile and friendly word for everyone. He was quick to help anyone and always the first to lend a hand where needed. His huge empathy and compassion were complemented by a whip smart mind and wicked sense of humour. He laughed easily and loved his people with all of his heart.
