The family wish to let you know that Edward David Floyd, known as David to many of his family and friends, passed away on 24 July, aged 81 at the Conquest Hospital, Hastings. We are grateful that David lived a full life until that day. A funeral service has been arranged for Wednesday, 23 August at Wealden Crematorium at 3.00pm. You are warmly invited to celebrate his life. 

Attire
Please dress in a way that you feel comfortable attending this service. David loved colour and would have been pleased to see his family and friends remembering him through wearing colour, so there is no need to wear black. 

After the Service
We have opted not to hold a social occasion after David's funeral. David divided his time between Sussex in the UK and Mauritius and was fortunate to have a wide network of friends and acquaintances around the world that would not be able to join us. If you are attending, please do engage with David's circle of family and friends before and after the service at Wealsden Crematorium. 

Place of Rest 
In the future, the family will hold a private ceremony to inter David's ashes at Wivelsfield Parish Church, which was his local church growing up and where his mother Elizabeth Nellie Floyd rests.

We kindly request flowers from family only please. If you wish to show your respects, we would wish it to be as useful as possible and kindly request donations in his name to the homeless charity St. Mungos. David was a longtime donor to the charity including at the time of his death.
