On Saturday 28th September, after a 4 year battle with MND, we lost the most caring, kind hearted, loving, selfless and strong Wife, Mum, Nan & friend that anyone could have asked for.
Lesley lived her life to the fullest, always with a smile on her face and always happiest when surrounded by her dearest friends and family. She loved holidaying with her family and hosting parties at home and always put everyone elses enjoyment and feelings above her own. She made lifelong friends during her 40 years at L&G and cherished those friends and her time there, but without doubt her greatest love and achievement was how she dedicated her life to bringing up our amazing sons Chris & Adam.
Lesley fought her MND with bravery, courage and dignity and her family and friends are unbelievably proud of her for giving them the extra time to make even more special memories. She pushed herself to keep fighting this cruel disease long after her body had given up.
We've been so moved by all the messages of condolences from her many friends that loved her as much as we did. She really never realised how special she was to so many people. She leaves a huge gap in all our lives that will never be filled. Life will just never be the same again.
Special thanks to the NHS, Martlets, Community Nurses & MNDA people for the care and warmth that they showed Lesley during her toughest times.
Lesley specifically requested that people dont need to wear all black at her funeral and suggested some purples & pinks....her favourite colours.
She also requested family flowers only, but would have really appreciated donations in her name to the MND Association who provided us all with so much support during this incredibly painful journey. Please just click on this Link :
