Mrs Dorothy Harris, born Dorothy May Bailey, sadly passed away on Tuesday 28th November 2023, aged 82 years. She is survived by her two sons Lloyd and Graham Harris.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Her Funeral Service will take place at Tring Cemetery Chapel, on Tuesday 16th January, at 12.30pm following this will be the Committal to take place at the graveside.
Dorothy was the widow of David Harris, they were married in 1964 and they spent many happy years together until his death in 2002 including being active members of the Morris Minor Club taking part in many overseas rallies and even the 1998 Lord Mayors Show with David as part of the 50th anniversary of the Morris Minor.
Dorothy grew up in Shepherd's Bush, she worked in the Westminster Bank Piccadilly branch in the 1960s and returned to work in the bank after her Sons had grown up, by then it was called Nat West this time working in the branches in Tring and Aylesbury.
While her sons were growing up in the 1980s she supported them by helping out with Tring’s New Mill Cubs and Scouts and the Tring Silver Band.
After retirement she was active in Tring life being a member of the over 50s walking club, U3A and the Local History Society.
