Yeatmans Funeral Directors, Southbourne
About our Southbourne funeral home
Whatever kind of send off you have in mind, we will take care of all the necessary preparations to ensure everything goes to plan. You will have the full support of the compassionate team at our Southbourne funeral home throughout, with the funeral arrangers and funeral directors available before, during and after the day, to provide guidance and care.
Founded by brothers, Horace and Percy Yeatman, we serve the community, guided by the same principles of integrity and respect they set in place.
You can find our funeral home on Southbourne Grove, in a building that has a little bit of history attached to it. It was once a local Post Office, from where, during WWII, American tank personnel would collect their wages. The red post box that remains out the front makes us easy to find, and our location allows us to offer funeral services to families throughout Bournemouth, including those in Ensbury Park and Pokesdown, as well as the adjoining town of Christchurch.
Our Southbourne funeral directors is here for you, when you need us. To arrange your loved one's funeral, call us on 01202 830201 today.

01202 830201From 9 September 2024, there will no longer be a doctor's fee in England and Wales when arranging a funeral. This is because from this date, all deaths in England and Wales will be independently viewed, either by a relevant coroner or by a Medical Examiner and the cost will be met by the NHS.
A Medical Examiner is a specifically trained independent senior doctor who will scrutinise all deaths across a local area that do not fall under the coroner's jurisdiction. By providing a greater level of scrutiny over the cause of deaths; it is hoped that the introduction of Medical Examiners will make it less likely that unnatural causes of death will go unnoticed; that the number of deaths unnecessarily referred to the coroner will be reduced and that national data about causes of death will be captured with greater accuracy.
Medical Examiners, or Medical Examiner Officers, will also be available to meet with families, or their representatives, if they wish to discuss the cause of death.
